Derek Weiss — Psychedelic Co-Facilitator & Integration Coach
As a psychedelic co-facilitator and integration coach, I provide a steady, compassionate presence and practical guidance for those seeking meaningful personal transformation through Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy. Whether before, during, or after an active journey, I support clients in honoring both the mystery and the meaning of their experiences.
Since 2017, I’ve been immersed in this work, including extensive personal and peer-based experience with a variety of psychedelic medicines. My integration coaching helps clients translate abstract insights into grounded, sustainable shifts, supporting new ways of seeing, being, and doing. I approach this work with empathy, humility, and grounded presence, offering a safe relational container for whatever arises. For active sessions, I take a harm reduction approach of co-facilitator alongside a licensed therapist as part of a therapeutic dyad, complementing the clinical container with warmth, attunement, and trust. My recent training includes EMBARK’s Psilocybin for Major Depression Program (Cybin Inc.), Principles of Psychedelic Harm Reduction (Psychedelic Support Network), Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Forest Therapy (Amos Clifford). I hold a Master of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and am a lifelong learner. Outside of the psychedelic space, I’ve spent over 15 years as a leadership and executive coach in the non-profit sector. I’ve held executive and senior advising roles with some of BC’s most respected charities. I’m a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE) and Certified Leadership Coach (CLC). My coaching clients often come to me at a moment of threshold: professionals sensing that their next level of effectiveness and satisfaction is less about acquiring knowledge and more about integrating (often stubborn) emotional, spiritual, or relational dimensions of their lives. I currently volunteer on the Leadership Team of Illuman of British Columbia, an inclusive men's organization rooted in deep listening, nature connection, and personal transformation. |
Raised in a fundamentalist Christian tradition, I also hold space for those exploring or healing their relationship with (or exiting from) various faith traditions. I welcome clients who are processing spiritual transitions, recovering from religious trauma, or cultivating new inner frameworks grounded in authenticity, curiosity, and care.
I believe that healing and insight unfold in the presence of grounded presence, non-judgment, and deep listening. I would be honored to walk alongside those who are seeking real and meaningful change.
